Steel: A Sustainable Resource
Our dedication to sustainability stems from our core product: steel windows. Unlike other window materials, steel can be recycled continuously without losing its strength or quality. This reduces the need for virgin materials to be processed, minimising environmental impact.
The durability and strength of steel also translates to an impressive lifespan. Crittall Windows’ products are resistant to weathering, warping and corrosion, meaning they can last decades. This minimises the need for frequent replacements, further improving steel’s sustainability credentials.

At Crittall Windows, we are constantly striving to reduce our environmental impact. We recently worked with Carbon Footprint Ltd to assess our carbon footprint and come up with targets with the aim of becoming carbon neutral.
We’ve already taken several steps towards our sustainability goals, including introducing LED lighting and investing in new CNC machinery to improve the efficiency of our operations and reduce material waste. We have also provided key members of our supply chain with a questionnaire to encourage them to evaluate their own carbon footprint and review sustainability targets.
