Crittall Windows recently returned to Adelaide House in London to replace the steel windows it originally manufactured for the building more than 100 years ago.

Thanks to the incredible quality of the steel windows which were designed to the highest standards by the Crittall team in the 1920s, the windows truly stood the test of time lasting an entire century.

Located on the north bank of the Thames, adjacent to London Bridge and within the heart of the city’s financial district, Adelaide House is in a prominent position meaning the new steel windows needed to perfectly complement the aesthetic of this incredible building. As a Grade II Listed property, Crittall had to meet strict planning requirements and therefore selected the renowned Corporate® W20 EVO windows fitted with 20mm insulated glass unit for this particular project.

With their versatility in size and shape, the Corporate® W20 EVO windows successfully replicated the sightlines and hardware design of the original steel windows manufactured by Crittall Windows in the 1920s.

While the beautiful aesthetic of Crittall Windows has remained true to the original style, advances in window technology mean that the performance of the product has evolved immensely over the last 100 years. Therefore, not only do the Corporate® W20 EVO windows look fantastic, but they also deliver outstanding thermal performance.

The new Crittall Windows are the perfect addition to this impressive office block which is undergoing extensive rebuilding to deliver top specification offices on London’s riverside.
