We are excited to announce a significant expansion of powder coating finishes for our renowned steel window and door systems.
Delivered by coating specialists AkzoNobel, the new colours include a range of non-reflective super durable coatings, metallic effect finishes and natural metal appearances, enabling architects, specifiers and installers to complement virtually any architectural design and style.
Each collection of powder coating finishes have been specially formulated to deliver superior durability and outstanding aesthetics. The natural metal collection provides a deeper, more concentrated metallic appearance compared to conventional metallic powder coatings perfectly replicating the finish of natural metals like copper, brass, nickel, silver and iron.
The more premium metallic effect collection, however, is a super durable coating that offers exceptional colour and gloss retention, perfect for weather-proofing exterior steel windows and doors exposed to the elements. Available in a range of shiny blacks to soft silvers, and earthy bronzes, these finishes allow architects and installers to achieve striking finishes within their commercial or residential projects.
Finally, the ultra-matte range introduces non-reflective coatings featuring a subtle mica effect that effortlessly reflects natural light, bringing the product to life. This collection is available in many solid and metallic shades and delivers a super durable performance and improved scratch resistance.
Russell Ager, MD at Crittall Windows, said: “By expanding our finish options to include natural metals, premium metallic effects and sophisticated ultra-matte coatings, architects and installers can perfectly match the steel windows and doors to any architectural style or interior design – from heritage restorations to contemporary renovations.
“These exceptional powder coating collections offer superior durability, exceptional weather resistance and ensure our products are incredibly low maintenance. Plus, it guarantees they will remain visually striking for many years – a crucial consideration when specifying building components.
“As design trends continuously change and evolve, it was important we expanded our colour collections so our customers have complete creative freedom when working with our windows and doors. With these additional finishes, architects and installers can choose a colour of their choice while maintaining the slim sightlines, structural integrity and sustainability credentials synonymous with steel windows and doors manufactured by our team of specialists.”
